Staff of the Month- Ms Margo

Get to know one of our dance instructors and Director of Education, Ms Margo!

Q: What made you decide to become a teacher?
A: I became a teacher when I was a senior in high school (over 23 years ago).  I loved to dance and I loved even more how rewarding it was to share my passion for the art.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: In my spare time I love to hang out with my husband,  Joe and my three kiddos, Joey, Grace and Wyatt (and my puppy, Miss. Ellie Mae).  We love to go out to dinner and explore Colorado.
Q: Did you have a favorite teacher in your dance career?
A: Every summer we would attend a national dance convention and there was always one teacher that was so inspiring to me.  His name was Doug Caldwell.
Q: Is there anything you do in your class to emulate that person?
A: Doug was passionate when he taught, but most importantly his energy and love for each person, is something I try to emulate as a teacher, friend, mom, wife and all around human.
Q: If you could teach your students a life lesson what would it be?
A: One life lesson I would want to teach my students is to be a kind, humble and a brave person.  Not only only on the dance floor but wherever life takes you.
Q: What are you most excited for this season with MOVE by Morelli?
A: This season at Move By Morelli I am most excited to watch all the dance and music students make that one connection with their teachers.  I am very lucky in that part of my job is to manage all the teachers.  When I am observing, I get to watch the very special connections each one of them make with each of their students.  It’s a beautiful thing to witness.
Q: If you were a flavor of ice cream what would you be and why?
A: My favorite flavor of ice cream is COOKIE DOUGH and I would like it to be more cookie dough then ice cream.  As a matter of fact just give me a cup or cone of cookie dough, instead.
